The Bad Batch series finale

The Bad Batch series finale has finally aired and I wanted to get my thoughts out there before all of the yootoobers get out there and start trying to sway me one way or another.

Remember, I try not to give spoilers, especially this soon, but you never know, so procede with caution.

What a series this has been. I think it really added to, and built on the overall Star Wars lore. The timeframe and center of the story tied things together and filled in empty parts of the timelimes.

All while pushing thing along and setting up another part of the over all story.

The finale had been building up with a whole season worth of unanswered questions and missing plot points.
Maybe too many things.

Season 3 episode 15 “The Calvary has arrived” was a double sized episode. And unlike some of this season’s frustratingly slow moving episodes, this one was hammering down all the way through.

There was action upon action, with a good slathering of high tension and character deaths.

It of course had its emotional conclusion and a rather good set up for what will probably be anounced this weekend on Star Wars Day, but..

It really did leave quite alot on the table though. Oh there was pleanty of tying up of plots to be sure. But some of the biggest questions seemed to be undressed red herrings or just ignored.

Not saying the season or even this final episode was bad, it just sits a little wierd right now. Like there should be someting else there that we didnt see.
Mind you, this is my reaction immediatly after, with no rewatches, and maybe (probably) will grab a few more details on second and third watch,, or the issues will be resolved in future products.

Again this was generally a fantastic series, and a fantastic set up more more. And I’ll be ready for it. Thanks to the Bad Batch for three great seasons.
