Remember browsing the scifi digest magazines standing at the checkout line? Those small monthly collections of short stories and preview chapters of the latest sci fi or fantasy authors.
I read the crap out of those things, and probably still have some old Asimov and Analog magazines stashed somewhere.
There are still quite a few in print. Most have moved to digital. But I’m more into their podcast forms now.
If you are into audiobooks, scifi, fantasy or any genre… these “magazines” are for you.
A weekly dose of a short story delivered right to your ears. And just like their old print counterparts, you get a mix of the latest genre news and previews plus a voiced out story of the week. Sometimes they are old reliables, most times they feature an up coming author with brand new materials.
There is so many of these short format story podcasts out there, there is never a reason not to have something to listen to.
This is not the end of the list by far.. but these are in my current rotation.
