It’s been a busy week. Andor, Lower Decks, and all of the Halloween specials that every channel has, we also get Season two.. I mean,, the rest of season one of Star Trek Prodigy that finally dropped this week.

Star Trek Prodigy is one of those shows that has a completely different feel to it than you expect it to have.
Way before Prodigy even came out, it was announced that it was going to be on Nickelodeon.
That wasn’t a big deal to some, as Nickelodeon had some pretty great shows out there. But, to others, it meant that it was going to be a kids show.
And I have to admit, that after hearing the way CBS was explaining how they were trying to get younger viewers, I too expected to see Muppet Babies. But I’m glad that took the time to watch Star Trek Prodigy because it not as much kid like as it sounded.

To be fair, yes.. this show does at times feel like it’s getting pushed to a much younger crowd. But then it pulls you right back into it with its great story plot.
Ok a quick review of the first half of the season.. (as usual I’ll keep it vague,, but spoiler milage may vary)
A group of ‘kids” trying to escape a prison planet (sounds bad.. but just watch it) find and steal a federation starship and are making their way to freedom. (Just watch it)
Wow. That sounds like a terrible premise. But it’s not! But I can tell you what grabbed me. The animation effects. This is certainly one of the best looking animated shows out there.

The first ½ of the season is there already, and the second ½ just started,, and seems to be tying into some of TNG and Voyager cannon more and more. So go catch up because I think this show is going to keep getting better.
