Got in a late watching of The Mandalorian ep 7 “The Reckoning”. It dropped in early this week because of ties to todays release of “Rise of Skywalker”
We finally get back to the story in this episode. Carga contacts Mando to come back and deal with the Imperial that have taken over Nevarro and Kill the one who was after the “baby Yoda”
I think we all know this is a trap, so Mando finds recruits to go with him. Cara the Shocktrooper from ep 4 “Sanctuary and Kuill ep 2 “The Child”.
One thing to note here, is the Kuill has rebuilt the IG-11 robot that Mando Blasted in the first episode. Claims he is a clean slate and poses no danger, but will protect. Mando does not concour.
The troop heads back to Navarro and of course find that it is or at least was a trap. But Carga get severely injured by the local fauna, and looks to be dead man walking. But The Yoda, steps in and force heals him.
While that doesn’t seem new,, it is in the films/tv canon. Force healing was only part of the old books and “Legend” stuff as they like to call it.
As the Mando is dealing with the client, the Imperial gaurds, complete with Deathtroopers and a Tie Fighter shoot the place up.
Kuill and the Yoda race back to Razorcrest to escape while we meet Moff Guidian, and a lot more Stormtroopers and Deathtroopers.
Speeder troops catch and seemingly kill Kuill, and capture, the Yoda! And that’s where we end up.
It was pretty intense of an final scene, even knowing what was going down. Are we sure that Kuill is dead? They just do a quick pan of him lying there, but we havnt had many consequences yet, so I’m gonna think that yea, he is dead.
The one thing that did stand out at the end sequence, is the lack of IG-11. They were dropping so not suble hints about his danger level, and how he will protect. So I’m pretty sure we gonna see more of him next week.
And next week is the last episode of this season. Are gonna wrap everything up? I think there is a good chance. There is not multiple stories going here and there on like The Expanse.
But There has to be some sort of cliff hanger, right? And the what would draw viewers back more than having to find out where baby Yoda is? You all know its coming.
