Warcraft Classic: We chose Mage

So like another 2 million others out there this morning, here is my WoW Classic first day post!
From all of the hype going on out there, I really had no hope of getting into the game last night. Even I was posting about the upcoming queues and wait lines.
I got home from work and tried logging in to see how long of wait I was gonna have.
Blam!
I get right in! No waits no nothing.
Time to make the class choice! Ahhhhhhh…Mage!!
Ah the starting zone intro..
And the opening fly by showing the crowd of people at entry point! Haha! (I was expecting more though)
So It takes me a while to get things set up. Just the odd little things you didn’t have to worry about for the past decade, like camera zooms and where the loot bag appears, keybinds…
And we’re off! Trying to remember where to go. I remember doing these quests,, but locations are fuzzy, but at least I remember the general areas.
Basically the next hour was:
-grab a quest
-figure out where to go
-open up settings to tweak something
-run across map
-kill 10 of 20 things needed
-open up settings to tweak something else
-run across the map again to sell junk
-run back across map to kill the other 10 things
-run back across map to turn in quest and sell stuff again. Only to realize I had another quest in the same location.
-run back across the map…..
It was actually great fun. Had no issues with groups hogging kills, no issues with quest items being looted. Everyone was,, nice.
Didn’t have a lot of time in there last night, but I did manage to hit level 6 and get some training done.
It was one of those rare nostalgic trips that was everything you remember.
I’m in this for the long haul baby.
