It was time. I wanted, really wanted to love my Wii U. And I do,, sorta. But there just wasnt anything out or coming out that caught my eye. I waited, but nothing.
Then I started watching the trailers for all the awesome games coming out on the PS4 and Xbone. The Witcher, Elderscrolls, Bloodbourne… I had to make the jump.
For a moment,, I did have a struggle with what platform to go with. Since I was starting over and backward compatibility is a bad word, I could go with anything.
But when I factored in the fact that I still use the Ps3 and my already paid PSN account, and the free games, I went with the Ps4. Sure its new,, but familiar.
Got home, downloaded The Last of Us and Metal Gear, those alone make the deal. But I also picked up The Witcher 3.
So far this is just the game I have been looking for. The last game I truly loved, was Red Dead, and this feels so much like it, plus the setting, and the story. Awesome.
So much to do so much to see, yet it hasnt gotten confusing yet. I’m one of those who gets totally lost when piles of quests gets dumped on you all at once. The Witcher so far isnt forcing me to down a path, but the story really makes you wanna see what next.
There hasnt been a great need for the crafting and alchemy yet for me, but its sprinkled in just enough to keep you fresh on it. So when it becomes viable you will be ready.
Am really liking this game alot and am ready sink some hours in. Glad to be back on board. Now I just need a mindless Shooter to compliment the RPG and we will be all set.
